Guitar Scales

By wkriski

As you know by now, I don’t want you to waste time practicing scales. But this guitar scale generator can help you to visualize the shapes of the scale and arpeggios across the fretboard.

You can use it to learn the notes on the fretboard. You can also use it to learn the intervals on the fretboard, such as where are the root, where are the fifths, and so on. I like to relate the notes around the current triad in a chord progression. Identify the triad of the chord, and know where the other notes around the triad are.

You also find the arpeggios within each CAGED shape. You can pick on arpeggio and learn it within each shape.

For more information on scales and modes check out The Guitar Grimoire: A Compendium of Formulas for Guitar Scales and Modes.
